Only process active products

TAGit Product filters

Skip products marked as draft or archived.

Only process active products is in the Product/Images Filtering Options card and is on by default.

What it does

The help text reads Skip products marked as draft or archived. In practice, this option excludes archived products, while drafts are excluded by Only process published products. Keep both on to leave old and unfinished products out of a bulk run.

Published vs. active

  • Active refers to the product status in Shopify (Active, Draft, Archived)
  • Published refers to visibility in your Online Store; TAGit checks it through the Active status
  • With both filters on, only live, active products are tagged — the safest choice for a first run

When to turn it off

Turn it off when you also want archived products tagged, for example to reorganize old stock before re-listing it. Check the Products card on Home to see how many inactive products you have.
