Duplicates, ordering, credits, and the 20-tag cap per product.
When Remove the existing product tags is off, TAGit merges the new AI tags with the product's current tags.
Merge rules
- Existing tags are kept first, then new tags are added
- Duplicates are compared without case: Linen and linen count as the same tag, and the existing spelling is kept
- Only tags that were not already on the product use credits
The 20-tag cap
TAGit writes at most 20 tags on a product. If a product already has many tags, the combined list is cut at 20 — so new tags may not fit, and tags beyond the 20th are not kept.
Tip
For products that already have 15 tags or more, consider cleaning them with Remove the existing product tags on a test batch, or choose fewer new tags.
